General Motors Special Vehicles has confirmed the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, with the 475kW naturally aspirated super sports car starting from $299,990 before on-road costs.
Orders open from October 1, with Australian vehicles to be offered exclusively on a build-to-order basis. Production is scheduled to begin at GM’s Bowling Green plant in the US in January 2027.

The MY27 Z06 will be offered locally solely in high-spec 3LZ Coupe form, with customers able to configure individual cars with a substantial range of factory options.
At its heart remains the hand-assembled 5.5-litre LT6 naturally aspirated V8, producing 475kW at 8550rpm and 595Nm at 6300rpm. Unlike the cross-plane V8 found in the regular Corvette Stingray, the Z06 uses a flat-plane crankshaft and revs to 8600rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Standard performance hardware includes Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, an electronic limited-slip differential, six-piston front Brembo brakes and forged aluminium wheels.

Buyers wanting a more track-focused setup can add the Z07 Performance Package, which brings additional carbon fibre aerodynamic components including a high rear wing, upgraded suspension and brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres.
Carbon-ceramic brakes are also available, along with a choice of forged aluminium and carbon fibre wheels, carbon fibre exterior components and various racing stripe combinations.
Ten exterior colours will be offered for MY27, including a new Pitch Grey Metallic, Admiral Blue Metallic and Roswell Green Metallic.

Inside, the updated Z06 adopts Corvette’s latest three-screen cockpit, consisting of a 14-inch driver display, 12.7-inch central touch-screen and 6.6-inch auxiliary display. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included, along with Chevrolet Connected Services and built-in Google functionality.
The Performance Data Recorder has also been upgraded with additional analysis functions, while Performance Traction Management gains a dedicated PTM Pro Mode.
Other standard 3LZ equipment includes Nappa leather GT2 seats, head-up display, 14-speaker Bose audio system, front suspension lift with memory and a removable roof panel.
Orders in Australia for the 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 open on October 1, with prices starting from $299,990 (excluding on-road costs), with delivery timing dependent on each customer’s specification and production allocation.
